01Origin

Rooted in Kerala. Built for the world.

Kerala sits between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats. Monsoon rain, laterite soil and shaded hill slopes make it one of the oldest spice-growing regions on earth. Pepper and cardamom from this coast were traded across the Indian Ocean long before modern shipping.

We work from Thalasserry, in Kannur district, in the north of the state. Our job is simple to describe: find good spice, prepare it to the buyer's specification, and see it safely to the port.

02From vine to spice

Everything we ship starts this small.

A pepper berry, picked green on the vine, dried in the sun until it darkens and wrinkles. The work that follows — selection, cleaning, grading, packing — decides how it arrives.

·Origin

Why the origin matters

Kerala is a narrow strip between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats. The mountains catch the south-west monsoon; the shaded slopes below hold the rain, soil and shade that pepper and cardamom need.

We are based in Thalasserry, in Kannur district, on the northern Kerala coast — close to the growing regions and to the sea.

·Quality

Quality begins before the shipment.

Most problems with bulk spice start long before loading: at drying, at sorting, in the bag. We pay attention at each of those points and put the specification in writing.

  1. 01

    Sourcing

Origin is confirmed before purchase. We prefer growing regions and suppliers we can return to.

  2. 02

    Sorting & cleaning

Stones, stems, dust and light material are removed before grading.

  3. 03

    Grading

Lots are graded against the specification agreed with the buyer — size, density or colour as relevant.

  4. 04

    Moisture

Dried spices are checked for moisture before packing, because excess moisture is the most common cause of spoilage in transit.

What working with us looks like

  1. 01

    Specification first

We start from your written specification, not from a price list. If we cannot meet it, we say so.

  2. 02

    Clear communication

You get direct answers from people who know the order. Updates are sent without having to chase them.

  3. 03

    Export-ready documentation

Paperwork is prepared alongside the goods, following the requirements agreed for your destination.

  4. 04

    Careful handling

Drying, cleaning and packing are the steps that decide how spice arrives. We pay attention to all three.

  5. 05

    Buyer-specific requirements

Pack sizes, labels, grades and forms are agreed per order rather than forced into a standard offer.

  6. 06

    Known origin

We tell you where the spice comes from and state species and origin on documentation.
